Dato’ Ir. Hj. Zulkefli Bin Hj. Mustaffa boasts over 34 years of experience in Civil Engineering. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, USA in 1989, followed by a Master’s Degree in Rock Mechanics and Foundation Engineering from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, UK in 1994.
Dato’ Ir. Hj. Zulkefli commenced his career in Civil Engineering in 1989 as a Project Engineer with a construction company, subsequently serving as an Assistant Contracts Manager at Paving Automation Technology International (PATI) for three years starting in 1992.
Prior to joining HLA Associates Sdn Bhd as a Design Engineer in 1996, he worked as a Resident Engineer for a consultant firm overseeing the construction and completion of Institute Technology MARA, Perak Branch Campus (Phase 1) at Sri Iskandar, Perak.
During his tenure at HLA Associates Sdn Bhd from 1996 to 2004, Dato’ Ir. Hj. Zulkefli held various roles, progressing from Design Engineer to Associate Director, accumulating extensive experience in planning, project management, detailed designs of infrastructural, structural, and geotechnical works, as well as supervising civil engineering projects.
In June 2004, he founded ZHL Engineers Sdn Bhd, where he assumes overall leadership responsibilities and guides a dedicated team of directors, professionals, semi-professionals, and administrative personnel.
In recognition of his wisdom, dedication to the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, and contributions to the community of Negeri Sembilan, Dato’ Ir. Hj. Zulkefli was bestowed the title of Darjah Setia Bakti Negeri Sembilan by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir, Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus, on January 14, 2017.
